💫 Description:

This is the kind of vintage turquoise necklace that doesn’t just complete an outfit — it carries history, presence, and soul. This vintage squash blossom necklace comes from the Fred Harvey era—likely crafted by a Zuni silversmith working in Arizona during the first half of the 20th century. At that time, trading posts across the Southwest—especially in Arizona and western New Mexico—became centers for Native jewelry making, where Zuni and Navajo artists created pieces that blended traditional design with new materials and tools. It features sterling silver, vintage turquoise, and a design that’s pure Southwest magic.

The crescent-shaped naja pendant is a symbol often associated with protection, while twelve flower-like squash blossoms bloom out along a strand of 8mm Navajo bench beads. Each turquoise stone has mellowed to a soft green-blue tone over the decades, giving the piece that unmistakable vintage charm.

It’s rare, it’s soulful, and it wears beautifully — Lighter and more delicate than later squash blossoms, this piece was made for everyday beauty—meant to be layered, worn often, and passed down.
